2014 Projects
The following research projects have been approved by the Board for funding in 2014:
CULPRIT SHOCK
In a comparative study supported by the European Union, Stiftung IHF is investigating the question which intervention provides more benefit to patients with myocardial infarction (MI) and shock: reopening the MI vessel alone or additionally treating other coronary arteries with relevant narrowings. AF Net
The Atrial Fibrillation Competence Network (AF Net) is government funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Stiftung IHF has assumed responsibility for statistical evaluation in this project.
Myocardial Infarction Registry - Rhineland-Palatinate
Joining the Department of Health of Rhineland-Palatinate, Stiftung IHF supports the second documentation period and scientific analysis of this statewide infarction registry in 2014. For more information click here.
PCI Registry
This project will be continued in 2014 in a joint effort with the ALKK. About 50 German heart centers furnish Stiftung IHF with data from cardiac catheterizations (with and without balloon dilatation). We collect and analyze these data. The data pool dating back to 2003 is available for scientific purposes. For more information click here.
LAA Occluder Registry
This registry for stroke prevention will start in Q2-2014. For more information click here.
EVITA-HF
To complete the German Heart Failure Registry, Stiftung IHF provides its support in 2014 in performing 1,000 interviews with patients over the phone as well as scientific analyses and in preparing publications. For more information click here.
Supporting Publications Based on Existing Databases
Stiftung IHF provides its support in preparing scientific publications by making available databases on a variety of cardiological topics, analyzing data and offering scientific counsel. For the thus created publications click here.
